People often wonder where the cure will come from, and the truth is that we do have some clues from the pathology that we’re seeing. From some of the genetic studies that we’re finding results from now, and these things may be parts of the same process.
It may be that there are lots of different causes for why cells are dying. In for example, Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s disease, it may be that in with any one individual, there are lots of different processes that add up to cell death, or in another person that there may be one process that’s driving matters. So what we really hope with the future is to see a way of unpicking these different potential causes.
